Car Shows Bring in the Crowds in New Hampshire

You might hear them coming with the glug-glug-glug of their engines at idle, or you might see their flash and dash as they zing by, these creatures of the road.

The classic, hot rod, custom or antique can turn heads because of a nostalgic whim, a long-ago memory or simply a love for the smooth curves, sharp lines, flecked paint and mirrored wheels.

The automobile has its enthusiasts, and like any other pastime, its collectors — folks who join car clubs and share their restored or original beauties with an admiring public.

The warm weather draws these gems out of their garages, and they arrive like butterflies to a garden. During the summer you are likely to bump into a car show almost any night of the week at Cruise Nights. And there are scores of special events planned.
