FAQ’s

Do you allow dogs?

Yes, as long as they are well-behaved, with their owner at all times, and on a leash.

 

Do you accept motorcycles or trucks?

Yes. The Registration fee is the same.

 

What if I have to leave early?

You will be allowed to leave early.  But if you are chosen to get an award and leave before 3 pm, you will forfeit that award.  Awards must be picked up at the event.

 

What time do you give out awards? 

Usually at 3 pm

 

Can I register one car but bring a different car to the event?

Absolutely. We will fill out a new entry form for you at check-in.

 

If I pre-register, do I have to go to check-in on the day of the event?

Yes.  You must pick up your entry form and get in line.

 

If I do not pre-register, can I register the day of the event?

Yes. But it is possible that the event will sell out, so we advise that you come early, especially on a bright sunny day.

 

Even if I arrive at check-in first thing, there are already some cars parked on Elm Street. How come?

Sponsors and volunteers who help out at the event by parking cars need to enter early. In addition, because these are public streets, we cannot close them before 5 am and, unfortunately, some cars are parked on the street before then or “sneak in” by removing barriers. We try to monitor this. Please report any violations you see to a Rotary member.

 

Where will we be allowed to enter onto Elm Street? 

At this point, we are not sure. Each year we coordinate this with the Manchester Police Department. In any event, you need to come to the Brady Sullivan Tower at 1750 Elm Street to check-in and get in line.

 

Where will we line up?

Just like last year, after you check-in, you will stay at the Brady Sullivan Tower (1750 Elm Street) until it is time to enter.

 

Why can’t we enter right away? 

Many parts of the street are blocked because of stage construction and food and other vendor set up.

 

Can we “reserve spaces to be with friends?

No.  If you wish to be with friends, we suggest you arrive early and together to have the best chance of being near each other.

 

How come some car clubs get to be with each other?

Car club members who volunteer time, enter early to assist the Rotary Club and Sponsors of the event get preferential treatment in exchange for their sponsorships.

 

Why is there a charge for the cars when they are the attraction?

The purpose of this event is to raise money to support non-profits that serve Manchester youth, such as the Boys & Girls Club, Easter Seals, Child and Family Services, to name a few.

 

Do I have to register online? 

No. You may mail your form and your check payable to “Manchester Rotary Club” to Manchester Rotary Club, P.O. Box 555, Manchester, NH 03105

 

Once we arrive at check-in, may we leave?

Yes, but you will lose your spot and will go to the end of the line when you come back.

 

Should I bring my receipt to the event?

It is always wise to bring your receipt with you in case, for some reason, we do not have a record that you paid.

 

If I register online, will I get a receipt?

Yes.

 

Do you accept credit cards for registration?

No. Early Registration may be done online using PayPal or by mailing a check payable to Manchester Rotary Club, P.O. Box 555, Manchester, NH 03105. For the day of the event registration, we accept cash or check. There is an ATM onsite.

 

If I register early and it rains, can I get my money back?

No. This is a rain or shine event. The purpose of the event is to raise money for local charities that support Manchester youth.
